Coroner's Inquest - Frederick, Wm. C. Vol. 1 p 174 #326

Inquest May 2, 1893.

Verdict: I find that William C. Frederick came to his death on the morning of the first (1st) day of May, 1898, at his home on corner of Vincennes and Spring streets New Albany from a pistol shot wound in the left breast inflicted by his own hands and with suicidal intent. The cause for the act is attributed to despondency due to domestic troubles of recent occurrence. The deed was done with a 38-calibre Smith-Wesson revolver and just after arising from bed. The bullet entered the left breast above nipple and penetrated the heart causing instant death. W. L. Starr, Coroner, Floyd Co.
