John HESS, aged sixty-two years, died Saturday morning at St. Edward's Hospital after an illness of six weeks of septicemia. The body was taken to the home of his son, Frank HESS on the Corydon pike. He was a native of Harrison county and was one of a family of sixteen children, seven of whom are still living. He leaves four sons and two daughters. They are Frank, Edward, Theodore and Miss Mary HESS, of this city; John HESS, of Louisville, and Mrs. TICHENOR, of Chicago. The surviving brothers and sisters are Frank HESS, of this city; Joseph HESS and Mrs. Addie YOST, of Harrison county; Mrs. Caroline GOODMAN and Mrs. Kate HUBERT, of Floyd county; Mrs. Lizzie HOLMAN, of Louisville, and Mrs. Sophia HALE of California. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
