Coroner's Inquest - Wells, Mary A. Vol. 2 pg 55

I find that Mary A. Wells aged 63 years came to her death on the morning of the twenty-third (23) day of October, 1905, probably from congestion of stomach at her home in Galena. Miss Wells was in perfect health until nine o'clock of previous evening at which time she complained of severe pain in stomach but refused to have medical attention saying it was not necessary. She suffered during the night and on the following morning more or less severely until about eleven o'clock when she suddenly grew worse and expired. There was nothing to show that her death was due to other than natural causes. W. L. Starr, Coroner, Floyd County
