Anna M (Reed) Meek was the daughter of James Reed.

 

Her father, James was born, 12 Apr 1802 in Clark County, Indiana and married Mary Payton, married 29 Sep 1825 in Clark County, Indiana. Anna M (Reed) Meek was born Mar 1834 in New Albany.  James died after 1887 presumably in Tippecanoe County, and also may have been moved to a New Albany Cemetery.  I haven't found his obituary yet.

         Death of Anna Meek

 Mrs. Anna Meek died at 6:30 o' clock yesterday morning at the home of

her cousin, W. H. Reed, one mile south of Octagon. She had been ill for one week and

her death was caused by pneumonia. She was 66 years old, and had lived with the

Reed family for fifteen years. The funeral will be conducted this morning at 8:30

o'clock. Rev J. W. Richards of Montmorenci, will officiate. The remains will then

be brought to this city, and will be forwarded at 12:25 p.m. over the Monon for

New Albany, where the internment will be made.
