Will of Emily Samples
Know All Men by these Presents:
That I, Emily SAMPLES, being of sound mind and disposing memory and realizing the uncertainty of life and being in feeble health, do make and publish this My last will and testament hereby revoking any former wills or codicils made by me. First: I will that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid, and that I be buried in a proper and fitting manner. Second: I will and bequeath that all my personal property of which I may die possessed, stock, bonds, notes and other evidences of debt owing to me and Chases in action shall be divided equally between my beloved brother and sister Albert SAMPLES and Sarah SAMPLES. Third: I will and bequeath to my beloved brother and sister Albert SAMPLES and Sarah SAMPLES, all the real estate of which I may die possessed, including about 120 acres of land on the waters of Millers Creek in Lee County, Kentucky bounded on the North by the lands of Alexander PATTERSON, bounded on the east by teh lands of James WARNER; bounded on the South by the lands of Tom STAMPER; bounded on the west by the lands of H. D.? ROGERS, and being the same land inherited by me from the estate of my father A. J. SAMPLES, deceased. Fourth: I hereby appoint Albert SAMPLES executor of this my last will and testament who shall serve without bond. In testimony Whereof, Witness My signature, this 14th day of August 1918. was this day read to her in our presence and signed and acknowledged by
her in our presence and we hereunto sign our names to same as witnesses
in her presence and in the presence of each other, at her request.
