Will of Howard Collins


Know All Men By These Presents.

That I, Howard COLLINS, of St. Helens, Lee County, Kentucky being of sound mind and disposing memory, but being in ill health and realizing the uncertainty of life, and desiring to make dispostion of such property as I may die seized and possessed, do hereby make and declare this my Last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former Wills or Codicils made by me.

First:  I desire that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid, and that a proper tombstone be erected over my grave.

Second:  I will and bequeath to my beloved wife, Mary COLLINS, the residue of all my estate of which I may die seized and possessed, including real estate, personal property, Choser? in action, money on hand and in bank to be her absolute property and to be disposed of by her by sale, deed or otherwise.

Third:  I hereby nominate and appoint my said wife, Mary COLLINS, Executrix of this My Last Will and Testament, and it is my desire that she act without bond.

In Testimony Whereof, I have hereunto fixed my name and signed this Will in the presence of G. W. PENDERGRASS and C. BEACH of Beattyville, Lee County, Kentucky, who signed same as witnesses in my presence at my request and in the presence of each other, on this May 10, 1926.

We, G. W. PENDERGRASS, of Beattyville, Lee County, Kentucky, and C. BEACH, of Beattyville, Lee County, Kentucky, Certify that the above named Howard COLLINS personally known to us, signed and acknowledged the above instrument as his last Will and Testament in our presence and that we sign our names as witnesses at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other.

I, S. M. ESTES, Clerk of the Lee County Court, do hereby certify that the above and foregoing Will and Testament of Howard COLLINS, deceased, was filed in my said office on the 12th day of September, 1927, at a regular term of the Lee County Court, and the same having been properly proven by the Court in open Court as the law directs, same is ordered to lay over thirty (30) days for exceptions, and no exceptions having been taken, the same is now ordered to be recorded at a regular term of the Lee County Court held on the 14th day of November, 1927.

Wherefore the same and this my certificate have been duly recorded in my said office in Will Book No. 1, pages 210-211.
Given under my hand this the 18th day of November, 1927.
