Edward C. Combs Dies in Hospital

Edward Cardwell COMBS, 76, Jessamine County farmer, died at 2:05 Thursday, July 28, at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lexington, after a long illness.  A native of Owsley County, he was a member of the Nicholasville Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Arminia FARLEY Combs;  two daughters, Mrs. Rudolph ERNIE, Louisville and Mrs. H. B. HARROD, Jessamine County;  four sons;  Edward Hurl, Elmo, and Lester COMBS, all of Jessamine;  and Ray COMBS of Erlanger;  three sisters;  Mrs. J. B. McMILLION and Miss Eva COMBS of Beattyville;  Mrs. Walter BRANDENBURG of Richmond;  two brothers;  Arch COMBS, Beattyville, and Card COMBS, Dayton, Ohio.

Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Bett-West Funeral Home in Nicholasville by the Rev. John THOMPSON.  Burial was in the Combs Cemetery in Lee County, Ky.

Casket bearers were Herbert CAUDILL, Melvin BLAKEMAN, Marion CHRISMAN, Lloyd BRUNER, Clarence E. NICCKELL and High HIGHLAND.
