Located in the weed patch beside the Garage located on hill on oppisite
side of road from Napier Cemetery above . Turn left on blacktop road in
the middle of the curve and hope you don't get hit. And go to the garage.
This cemetery needs help. Also most of the stones toppled over by kids
or whatever. The brush is thick etc there may be more stone buried here
and more standstones . Awful awful Awful but not the worst I have seen.
Someone please help the owner by offering to clean it up but don't cut
the big trees just the small vines and brush.

Located on the ridge and point behind this cemetery and quite a long hike to it is some old tombs with just sandstones for markers and with no names etc on them. These are supposed to be very old and the first ones to settle in Rowdy. Many years ago some of the kids, now grownups, remembers rolling some of the stones over the hill not knowing what they were for. Read by Mack Holliday, March 1, 1998 |
