I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of marriage bond, license, and return of officer who officiated at the marriage ceremony of B. D. Davidson and Sarah Combs as full and complete  as the same is now on file in my office.

Know all men by these pursuits that we Benjamin D. DAVIDSON and Josiah H. COMBS are firmly bound into the Commonwealth of Kentucky in the sum of $50 to the payment whereof well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs & C (?) jointly and severally firmly by these pursuits, sealed with our seals and dated this 1st day of April 1849. 

The condition of the above obligation is such, that whereas a marriage is shortly intended to be saliviged (I can't make out the word) between the above bound Benjamin D. Davidson and Sarah Combs of this County.  Now shall it always hereafter appear that there is no just cause to obstruct the said marriage then the above obligation to be void, else to remain in full force and virtue.
