Leatherwood School House

This is the Little Leatherwoods school house bottom.  My Grandma Lottie Turner (now deceased) owned this, but now belongs to her children.   The church is the Mount Paron Baptist Church that my grandfather help start and build.  The school has been closed down since the 1980s or earlier.  As kids this is where we played when our mom and dad Mary (Turner) and Seldon Estep took us back to their ole Ky Home.  Lottie was a midwife aand delivered hundreds of folks from Leatherwood.  We like to call this bottom, Lottie Turner's School House Bottom.  Submitted by Diane Boyes
