Todd County Kentucky Will Book E. 1840-1844 pg. 116 In the name of God Amen I George Gibson of Todd County and State of Kentucky being weak in body but of a sound memory and understanding & knowing the certainty of death & being desirous to settle all my affairs pertaining to this would in peace with God & Amen sign seal & publish this my last Will & testament. First I allot and give to my wife Abagail Gibson all my land during her natural life Secondly I give to my above named wife all my house hold and Kitchen furniture Thirdly I give to my above named wife all my money and live stock during her natural life and after her death i Will & Bequeath to my daughter Sally forty dollars & my daughter Catharine thirty dollars & my daughter Mehalah two dollars & 50 s my granddaughter Mary Finley one dollar & 50 my daughter Elizabeth Croly two dollars & 50 & the children of my daughter Ann Edwards five dollars & I Will and Bequeath to my son Smith Gibson and his heirs at the death of his mother all the balance of the above named property & lastly I appoint Henry Gibson and J.T. Reeves Clerk of said County Court do Certify that the fore going instrument of writing purporting to be the last Will and Testament of George Gibson deceased was at a County Court begun and held for Todd County at the Court House in Elkton on Monday the 12th day of July 1841 proven in open Court by the Oaths of Asa Derrington and William Boyles subscribing witness there to to be the act and deed of said George Gibson and ordered to be recorded the same having been produced to said court at a previous term for record and said over where unto i have truly recorded said Will together with this Certificate in my office Willis G.
