Lindley, James. Before 1811. Searching for information regarding James Lindley, left Wayne County about 1811, according to information in 1883 History of Howard County, IN, edited by Charles Blanchard. When he removed from Wayne Co., NC he lived in Richmond, IN area for several years, and in 1847, entered land North of Greentown, Howard Co., IN. James was the father of Tence, Charles, and James Lindley, and daughters were married to John Armantrout and Jacob Elliott. These three know sons and sons-in-law eventually followed James to Howard County, IN. The last residence of James was in Clinton Co., OH, after 1847. Blanchard stated that James Lindley was of a prominent NC family followed the profession of farming. Any information about this family would be most appreciated. Thank you. Seeking any info on Brewer family in Johnston Co NC late 1700's. Jacob Parker Brewer died there 1784, widow Martha. His dau Jane/Jenny mar Francis Evans there 1784. His son David apparently moved to Marion Co SC c1798. Connections to Moses Brewer family of Wayne Co indicated. Also connections to Yelvington/Elvington family of Johnston Co to Marion Co SC. Any info on Johnston Co Brewers would be appreciated.

Searching for information on the Durden/Durdino family of early Dobbs County and of Wayne County. Original settlers were John, Richard and William Durdino. William Durdino's family intermarried with the Hooks, Basses, Hilliards, Daniels and Hollowels. A large part of these families moved to Montgomery Co. Georgia around 1790. They may have originated in Anne Arundel Co. Maryland. Would welcome all replies and any information.

I am researching the family of William Hobson (b.1813) who lived in the Wayne Co., N.C. area around 1850. I am descended through his son Lewis Hobson (1838-1923) who moved into Cumberland Co., N.C. and eventually died in the Raeford area of Hoke Co., N.C. which had previously been part of Cumberland Co., N.C. I would really like to learn more about the Hobson family. It is kind of a lost family line in which my family lost contact and I know little about them. I have some information I have researched which I will be glad to share. I would really appreciate any help I could get.
Am gathering records and info on ALL descendants of the SASSER family of America. The vast majority of descendants of this family came from Sassers who settled in Johnston Co. in the mid-1700's and spread from here to GA, AL, TN, IN, MS and throughout the nation.
My 3rd great grandfather was Sanders Pinkney Cox, d. 1882 in Greene Cty., NC. Was son of Micajah Cox Jr. (1784-1837) and Sarah Hollowell of Wayne and grandson of Micajah Cox Sr. and Louise Lancaster of Wayne. Would love to know how name Pickney came into this family. There was/is a crossroads on north side of Neuse by name of Pinkney but can't find out why.
I am searching for any information on John Lee. His daughter Bertie Elizabeth Lee (my great-grandmother) was born on June 18, 1871 in Wayne Co. She married Peter S. Grady on March 6, 1895, also in Wayne Co. She also had a brother named Rufus E. Lee who was born in April 1866. Looking for any info. on Daniel Landmon Howell, born 4/12/1828, possibly in SC. Seeking information on marriage of Bessie Lou Hill and Paul Edward Braddock. I do not know where the wedding took place. Nor do I know the year. I only have an invitation which states the date as Wednesday, 8 April. My guess is 1896 or possibly 1903. I know Bessie Lou Hill was the daughter of A.F. and Mary, or Martha Thompson Hill. The mother was born in Wayne County, NC. She was a daughter of Josiah and Catherine Lilly Thompson. I am trying to trace my family history back to England. My grandparents Lloyd Barnes and Matha Betire Holland came from Wayne County. I know that my great grandfather John A. Barnes built a brick two story house near Fremont that still stands. I had always been told that my family originated from Ireland, but as I am now posted in the Midlands (Northamptonshire, England I have found that the surname Barnes orginated in this area. If I could find out anything later on my great grandfathers family I might be able to trace the family to this area. There is a town called Catherine D'Barnes up above Stratford - Upon Avon. Any information that could be found in the next year would be greatly appreciated.
