    Seeking help in identifing the family of J___D. Joyner and Martha Langston. Their son, my grandfather, John William Joyner, was born in Wake County in 1860. He may have had a relative or brother named Magnus, and another brother named James. John William Joyner moved to Dinwiddie County Virginia as a young man, and died in 1899 leaving no information on his North Carolina relatives. Nothing is known of this family before or after 1860, but J __ D. and Martha were probably born ca 1830. Thanks for your help. Joe Joyner

I recognize some of our family in the 1880 Wayne Co, Stoney Creek census as William and Smithy PATE with three children at that time. These are my husband's grgrandparents. He may have traveled with the COX family and may be connected to the HAND and NEWLIN families who are later connected in Crawford Co., IL.     I am searching for Hamilton's of Wayne County. I know that Guy and Ann Hamilton lived there with their nine children. Barnabas, Sarah, Duncan, Hardin(or Bardin) Unity, Edith Darkis Nancy and John. per will of Guy's dated 1790 recorded Goldsboro, Wayne County, N.C.     I am looking for information on William Thomas KEYS/KEYES who received a land grant in Wayne County, NC around 1760. I have yet to find a database on-line that lists such transactions. Can anyone out there help me? KEYS/KEYES immigrated (again) to Nova Scotia in 1784. I am trying to make the link back to Scotland/Ireland, but need to cover his years in NC first. Any help would be appreciated.

    Searching for descendants of William Dickson Pearsall and Mary Ann Outlaw. The 1870 census of Wayne Co, NC, Indian Springs Twp, reflects: W. D. Pearsall, Age 30, M, W; Mary A. Pearsall, Age 33, F, W; James E. Pearsall, Age 12, M, W; Hepsey E. Pearsall, Age 10, F, W; Norman Pearsall, Age 8, M, W; Dickson Pearsall, Age 4, M, W; and Sue S. Pearsall, Age 2, F, W. The 1880 census reflects them as residing in Grantham Twp. A family genealogy "Whitfield, Bryan, Smith and Related Families", reflects that William Dickson Pearsall md 1st Mary Ann Outlaw and that he married 2nd on 29 Apr 1956, Sara Marie Whitfield. A letter dated Feb 20, 1933, from one E. H. Pearsall, residing in Princeton, NC, states that William Dickson Pearsall married 29 Apr 1856, Mary Anne Outlaw. The letter also states that Mary Anne Outlaw died 11 May 1912. One James E. Pearsall and Louphemia Cogdell were married June 15, 1884. Seeking descendants of these families. Did William Dickson Pearsall m! arry Mary Anne Outlaw or Sara Maria Whitfield? Who were the parents of Louphemia Cogdell? Will share.

    I seek any information on Woodard Cook, born in Wayne Co. 1875 or 1888 and who in 1830 lived in the Captain Daniel district. He and his wife Temperance deeded some property to the Methodist Episcopal church in 1831. I am very interested in any information on this man (couple) especially if they had children, if so names?
