THE HUDSON YOUNG LADIES' SEMINARY
HUDSON, COLUMBIA COUNTY, NEW YORK By Captain Franklin Ellis155 1878
The Hudson Young Ladies' Seminary was established in the autumn of 1848, by the Misses Elizabeth and Sophia C. Peake, under whose efficient management the institution still remains, and whose aim it is and has ever been to impart through their course of instruction all that is required for a thorough and finished education. Particular attention is paid to instruction in the French language by a native French teacher residing in the family. The school has enjoyed a high reputation and liberal patronage from the time of its commencement. Its location is on the north side of Warren street, opposite the Worth House.
