On Thursday noon, June 23, 1977, Mr. “X” finally struck in Owen, and Cheryl
Ackerman, a waitress at the 11th Frame Restaurant in Owen was the lucky winner
of a “silver dollar.” No why, do you ask, was she a lucky winter of a silver
dollar, because she asked a customer if they would like a glass of milk with
their meal that lunch period. Because this is June Dairy Days, waitresses are
being reminded to offer a glass of milk to their customers to honor all our
dairy farmers during this month, that is in honor of them and their product.
