Anderson, Ethel (12 NOV 1886 – 25 FEB 1965)

Mrs. Delbert Anderson, 78, Loyal, passed away at 7:05 p.m. at Memorial Hospital in Neillsville where she had been a patient for the past two weeks.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 1, at the Methodist Church in Loyal with the Rev. Paul Doering officiating.  Myre Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements.  Burial was made in the Loyal Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Neil Johnston, Lothar Oestrich, Garth Luchterhand, Ray Hubing, George Drake and Leon Hoeser.

Mrs. Paul Doering sang “Old Rugged Cross” and “beautiful Isles of Somewhere,” accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Byron Zepplin.

Mrs. Anderson, the former Ethel Kendall was born on November 12, 1886 at Springville.  Her marriage took place to Delbert Anderson at Springville on May 19, 1907.  They lived at Springville until 1917 when they moved to a farm in the town of Loyal.

Survivors include her husband; one son, Arnold Anderson, Medford; two daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Helen) Hubing, Loyal; Mrs. John (Doris) Rakovec, Loyal.  Nine grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Ed (Sarah) Kelmer, Viroqua, one brother and a sister preceded her in death.

Out-of-town people who attended were Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Anderson, Medford; Mrs. Fred Kreger, Watertown, South Dakota; Mr. Ed Kilmer, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Kilmer, Mr. Gerald Buchanan, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Buchanan, Viroqua; and friends from Marshfield, Spencer, Greenwood, Neillsville and Loyal.
