Carpenter, Lloyd (3 AUG 1941 - 29 JUN 1949)


Funeral services were held Saturday morning at 9 o’clock at Christ the King Catholic Church, for Lloyd Herman Carpenter, 7, son of Mr. and Mrs. Victor I. Carpenter, who died of bronchial pneumonia Wednesday, June 29. Rev. Bernard Henry officiated and burial was in the Catholic cemetery.

The body was at the Swarthout Funeral Home until Friday noon when it was taken to the home 1 ½ miles east of the village. A rosary service was held at the home Friday evening.

The little fellow as born in Marshfield, August 3, 1941 and lived there until coming to Spencer four years ago.

Surviving besides his parents Victor I. and Lucy Geiger Carpenter, are eight brothers and sisters, Victor F, William, Lucille, Robert, his town brother, Floyd, Carol Kay, Joan Ann and Janice Marie. Also surviving are his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Carrie Carpenter and his maternal grandmother.

Pallbearers were Paul Wolfe, Louis Geiger, Ronald Pupp, Robert Pupp, Linus Wittman, and Herman Pupp.

Flower girls were Mary Ann, Annette, and Janice Geiger, Donna and Betty Weis, and Lucy Ann Pupp.
