Hiebl, Lawrence (29 MAR 1933 - 25 APR 2013)

Lawrence Hiebl, 80, died April 25, 2013, at his home.

He was born March 29, 1933, to the late George and Anna (Krupka) Hiebl. He served in the United Sates Army during the Korean War. On July 15, 1977, he married Illa Pempek.

He is survived by his wife, Illa, Athens; one son Jason (Stacy) Hiebl, Austin, TX; four step-children, Brian Pempek, Athens, Shannon (Linda) Pempek, Colby, Randall (Lynn) Pempek, Athens and Jennifer (Chad) Pempek, Boyceville; siblings, Delores (Bill) Hackel, Anthony (Marlene) Hiebl, Rev. Charles Hiebl, Aggie (Glenn) Paul, James (Elaine) Hiebl, Joseph Hiebl, and Mary (Lueder Finken) Heibl; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 4, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. Rev. Charles Hiebl will preside. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of services all at the church. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery at a later date.

Peterson-Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens, is in charge of arrangements.
