Dr. Charles W. Bliss may be the
son of Howard Festus Bliss, a newspaper publisher of Janesville, WI.
Howard Festus Bliss is # 4305 in the Genealogy of the Bliss Family in
America by Aaron Tyler Bliss. A son, Charles Willmarth was born Nov.
18, 1875 in Wisconsin to Howard Festus Bliss and Caroline Hayner.
Mr. Bliss, a dealer in saddlery hardware, sold his business in 1883 to
purchase The Janesville Gazette. He is the son of Lewis Bliss
and Eliza Jenkins of Mount Carroll, IL and was born in Illinois February
15, 1844.
