Bliss family researchers often refer to three lines of early settlers in the United States.  These lines began with Thomas Bliss, probably of Gloucestershire who settled in Hartford, CT, Thomas Bliss of Preston Parva, Northants who settled in Rehoboth, MA,  and George Bliss of Preston Parva, Northants who settled in Newport, RI.
