Antiock Cemetery is located on Marble Hill Road, just south of the intersection with Miles Road (38° 34' 47"N, 85° 26' 29"W). Click here for a topographical map showing the location for Antiock Cemetery (courtesy of www.topozone.com).
From Marble Hill Road, go to Miles
Road. There is a slight jag in the road at this four-way intersection.
Continue south. As soon as you cross the intersection with Miles
Road, you can see the cemetery on your left along the roadside.
| Just down that southernly travelled
road is the old Miles Farm where the MIKESELL
CEMETERY is located.
Some of those listed below were given by Miss Esther Giltner of Nabb, Indiana and Angela Kampschaefer <ARKamp@aol.com>. In May 2000, Stephen Franklin (Southern Indiana District Director of the Indiana Society of the Sons of the American Revolution) walked this cemetery to come up with what stones are available, a great number of which are either buried or now gone. This is Stephen's attempt to record all of those known people buried at this location. Stephen still has not found who the Trustees of this Cemetery are or how I can reach them. ANY HELP APPRECIATED!!! |
Although their stones aren't currently
visible, there are supposedly FOUR (4) Revolutionary War Soldiers buried
here. They are:
| John BRENTON | Robert BRENTON | William BRENTON | James McCLELLAND |
If there any corrections or additions to this cemetery listing, please contact Stephen D Franklin.
