BUSLEY
Henry BUSLEY -- The LaHarpe Journal, Vol. II, no. 27, September 22, 1905
Henry
BUSLEY was born May 29, 1845 in Lancaster, England, died at his home one and
one half miles north of LaHarpe, Friday morning Sept. 15 1905. Finding the lot
of a laborer a hard one in England, he came to America in 1880. He purchased
the home farm north of LaHarpe and has since added many acres to it. For the
last few years he has been connected with the Lanyon Zinc Co. In the capacity
of field manager of the company's gas field. For a good many years Mr. Busley
has been counted one of the well to do farmers of this township.
He
leaves a wife and ten children, four boys, John, George, Harry and Albert all
of whom are at home and six girls, Lizzie HIGGINS, Jane DANIELS and Emily
REMSBERG the married daughters and Anna, Thurza and Nellie who are at home.
Mr.
BUSLEY'S death came as a shock to the family and to his many friends. The
funeral was held from the home Sunday at 2 p.m. Rev. FRENCH officiated. It was
a large concourse of friends that met at the home and a cortege more than a
mile long followed the remains to the LaHarpe cemetery. The burial rite was
performed the Iola Masons of whose lodge Mr Busley was a member for a number of
years.
