GEORGE HUFFERD DIES AT AGE OF 80
George Hufferd, who has lived in Allen County for the past 60 years, died yesterday at his home, 306 S. Fourth Street. He was 80 years old.
He was born at Rossfelt, Ind., moving to Iola in 1892. He retired several years ago and was a member of the Trinity Methodist Church.
Mr. Hufferd leaves two sons, Ezra and Charles of Iola; four daughters, Mrs. Maude Cole, Mrs. Cora Garver, Mrs. Leona Britt, Iola, and Mrs. Lula Smith, Portland, Ore.; two brothers, Jess of Iola and Frank of Bartlesville, Okla.; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Tate, Iola, and Mrs. Edith Giller, Coffeyville, 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Services will be conducted by the Rev. Cecil Orr at the Sleeper Chapel at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be at Highland cemetery.
