Mrs. Lizzie PLATT -- Humboldt Union -- April 29, 1926, Thursday
Mrs. Lizzie
PLATT, widow of Nicholas PLATT, passed away at the home of her grandchild, Mrs.
Gladys SNAPP, of Newton Kansas, Tuesday morning, April 27.
The
funeral will be today at Mount Hope Cemetery, Humboldt. Mrs. PLATT would have
been 83 in October. She came to Humboldt with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Enoch
MYERS. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. J. W. HEMINGER of Chanute, two
sisters Mrs. MOORE and Mrs. DEAL, and one brother, Ambrose MYERS of Tulsa,
Oklahoma. Her oldest daughter, Eva, died many years ago.
Nick
PLATT was a Civil War veteran. He opened the first bakery in Humboldt.
