REDFIELD
Orrin Sylvanus REDFIELD -- Humboldt Union -- September 12, 1910
O.S.(Orrin
Sylvanus) REDFIELD died at his home in this city at 4:20 p.m. Wednesday after
suffering for several months with rheumatism. His death had been expected for
some time. With the exception of his son, Orrin, all the family living were at
his bedside when he passed away. He was seventy-one years old, and was born at
Twinsburg, Ohio. When the war broke out he volunteered in on Ohio regiment as a
musician, and served two years. In 1870 he was married to Miss Sarah HENTZ, and
then came to Humboldt, where he has resided since. While a resident of Humboldt
he was engaged in business for himself and others until the past few years when
he was not able to do much work. He was a member of Vicksburg Post No. 72, of
this city.
Besides
his wife he leaves two sons, Clark and Orrin, Jr., and two daughters, Mrs. Alex
SCHLEICHER and Miss Josephone REDFIELD. Roy, another son, died several years
ago.
The
funeral services were held Friday at the residence, and burial at Mt. Hope
cemetery. A large number of friends attended these services.
