My Dear Mother,
Your satchel of “Nice things” has just
reached me and your letter came at the same time. I think my dress is lovely, and it fits as neatly as a pin. I feel very well. Nowadays. I think it is
better if any thing that it has been this winter. We are going to have two weeks vacation in three weeks from next
Wednesday, at the end of this Quarter, which is in three weeks.
When you write please tell me whether
I am to come home just to spend vacation or that I am to come and bring all of
my things to stay “for good”. I am ever
so much obliged to you for that nice bundle.
The cake is excellent. I have
together with my Roommate eaten half of it already. I have called the candy a present from Nellie is it so? If so I am very much obliged to her. Every thing is very good and I cannot
express my thanks to any dear Parents for them. Have you heard any thing from Mrs. “Allbright” lately? Has she moved from town yet? Please excuse this writing.
With much love to
all I remain Your affectionate Child,
Belle
Please write soon,
I kind of want to come home at the end of this Quarter anyway, for I want to
stay at home next quarter. Please let
me.
