I'm looking for information on Sarah B., wife of James ADAMS. This family is very big into using family names and they had a grandson named "Baker Todd". Since there are no BAKERs on James' side and Sarah is listed as "Sarah B'" in most records, I'm guessing she's the BAKER.
Sarah was b. 18 Feb 1844 in Tennessee. She married James about 1863 and their first child (James R.) was born in Sept 1864 in Elkton.
Other children:
Henry Baker, Ida, Adelaide, Mary Josephine, Rose.

I am looking for info on James ADAMS, the son
of Robert ADAMS and
Jane LOWRY. I got some great information,
but I still haven't tied their
son (listed as age 14 in the 1850 census) to my James (b.
1838), though
the names in the families are really similar and they definately
intermarried
two generations later. However, I did uncover some
new info when
pouring over 1870 census records:
In Elkton, my James is listed as JOHN J. ADAMS, age 31, with
wife Sarah B
(26), James R. (5), Henry B (3) and Ida J. (1).
NEXT DOOR, I find Thomas J. ADAMS (35), wife Mary E (33),
kids William A,
Lizzie, Lewis, George L, and Ida.
Thomas seems to be the right age for a brother, but Robert didn't have
a
kid named Thomas. He did have an uncle though.... To add
further interest,
John/James is living two doors down from his future inlaws
from two kids.
Robert (John/James suspected father) is living in Trenton
near his son
Jasper.
Help! These families are all so close, it's driving me nuts!
A little more info on James/John if anyone recognizes him: b. 11 Nov 1838,
d. 13 Dec 1904, buried in Glenwood in Elkton under
the name J.J. Adams. m.
Sarah B (BAKER, if family names are to be trusted). Kids
James R, Henry
Baker, Ida, Mary Josephine, Rose and Adelaide. Sarah was
born in Tennessee
18 Feb 1844, died 17 Sep 1899. James then moved in
with his oldest son
James R. The 1900 census rec says his parents were born in
VA and KY.
