I am looking for any information on Anna Jane Millar who was born June
12, 1812 in Morris County, New Jersey. On June 18, 1830 she was married
to David Willis Dickerson in Denville, Morris County, New Jersey.
The Dickerson's came to Dodge County, Nebraska in 1860, and were residents
of the county for some time. Anna was the grand-mother of
Mrs. George A. Millar, (Fannie May Allison) who were also residents
of Dodge County and later resided in Curtis, Frontier County, Nebraska.
Anna died December 6, 1899 in the home of George A. Millar at Curtis, Nebraska.
She and David (who passed away January 21, 1891), are both buried
at Woodland Cemetery, at North Bend, Nebraska. I am mainly interested in
finding out who Anna's parent's were. I have been trying to connect
her with John and Anna (Taws) Millar who were married in 1808 in New York,
but so far I have been unsuccessful. John Millar was the son of James and
Mary (Anderson) Millar, born January 7, 1780 in Clackmanan, Scotland.
Any information on Anna and her family would be greatly appreciated! This
information will be used for a Millar-Miller family tree!

There was a query on the Dodge CO page that was posted in October but
I had my message returned. It was a reply to Mike Thomson query #196 regarding
the surname Watt in Dodge CO. I will post the information below:
In answer to your query on the Dodge CO page, I have a William Watt
born 1804 in Scotland. However I have his wife as Jane Hutchinson.
His son Archibald was my great grandfather and he was married to Elizabeth
Greaser. Archibald's siblings were John Watt; James Watt; William
Watt born June 16, 1833 m. Mary Barnard; Isabel Elizabeth Watt; David
Watt; Janet Watt; Jane Watt; Thomas Hutchinson Watt; and Samuel Watt
who according to family tradition died as a child. I have been in
contact with a Earl Watt who seems to have some similar information but
have not fully sorted it out yet. My cousin is the one who has done
the research on this line. I did obtain a marriage license of Archibald
and "Lizzie" because of information that I found on the Internet and that
event was in Dec. 1873. Archibald disappeared after a divorce.
Do you think there is a connection? Thank you

I am trying to find out what happened to Thompson Chemist...he was
in the Dodge County 1860 census....not in the ones before...and not in
the 1870 census....thought he might have died in the Civil War....he was
born around 1840...as he was 30 when the census was taken...also he appeared
to be single.....did not find him in the cemetery...but it doesn't mean
anything....I missed him the first time I checked the census....Dodge Co.,Jalapa
City....was wondering if there are any
Chemist...around...two of my grandma's sibilings...had the middle name
of Chemist...two had Garrison...one had Adams...and their last name was
Geyer....one of Ggrandma's sister had the middle name of Dobbs...their
last name was Adams....see what I mean.... I just saw a name on the
list Kemitz....could this by some weird coincidence.....be an unamerican
version of Chemist...a lot of the people changed the spelling of their
name....Anyways, hope to hear some news...good...news...actually any information...no
matter how remote it may seem would be most welcome....hope to hear soon....and
thank you.

I am interested in any information about the ROGGENSACK or PAGENKOPF
families of Dodge County, NE. Anything you may know would be welcome! ROGGENSACK:
Joachin and Sophie, immigrated first to Ill., then to Nebr. between 1858-1861.
The name seems to have died out after 1922. PAGENKOPF: Father's first name
begins with "A" and mother's name is Maria, immigrated first to Wisc.,
then to Nebr. between 1868-1873. I haven't found mention of this name after
1880 except for the obituary of Bertha Pagenkopf Rink in 1899, which doesn't
mention any surviving family members.
Thanks in advance, Judy Ellis Czarnecki (jellis904@aol.com) Monrovia
