Josefina Ticha (published March 1939, p. 107)
The death took us our sister Josefina Ticha, nee Dvorakova. She was born in Rokytna u Noveho Mesta na Morave on 28th June 1876 and suddenly died in her house near Du Boison 6th February 1939 in age of 62 years, 7 months and 8 days. She came in October 1898 to U.S.A. to Humboldt, Nebraska. She married Josef Tichy on 25th October 1898 abd they estabilished their home on farm 6 miles northly from Du Bois where they lived till October 1928 when they moved to rest on smaller farm 2 miles northly from Du Bois. The decease left here her husband, daughter Helena married Stepankova, son Josef, two grand-sons, brother Josef Dvorak and three sisters, Mrs. Frantiska Petrova, Mrs. Bozena Palicova and Mrs. Emma Brozova; her sister Anna died 30 years before her. Sister Ticha was excellent wife and mother and she put in her whole life to her family and home. She was founding member of order Premysl Otakar II. Nr. 84 in Table Rock, Nebraska, and she came to our order in 1901so she was the member of ZCBJ for already 40 years. The burial was on 8th February from ceremonial hall. Rev. B.A.Filipi from Clarkson, Nebr. had Czech and English speech and then her body was buried on Czech National Cemetery near Du Bois. We oofer our deepest sympathies to residuaries.
