Industry Petroleum Cooking Stove. The agent for this wonderful invention is in Nebraska City- with a couple of samples. With two cents worth of coal oil or naptha, you are enabled to do all the cooking for an ordinary family of six or eight persons in nearly the time it requires to kindle a fire and heat up an ordinary wood or coal stove. Anything that can be cooked on ordinary- stoves can be cooked on this the stove is light and can be placed in any corner; and without doubt the greatest improvement of the age. Mr. Wells is receiving orders and will sell either county or state rights.

Industry Plow Manufacture. Nebraska City. The Industrial Plow Manufacturing Co. is the largest plow factory in the west, having one hundred and fifty hands employed constantly at their works, and turning out from seventy-five to one hundred plows per day. They make Cornell's Gang Plow and have appointed him their general traveling agent on the Missouri river.

Industry. Pottery. Messrs. Cesell and Hardrich, from St. Louis, Mo., are now in the city and contemplate establishing at an early day a pottery for the manufacture of queensware of every description. They have examined the clay and sand taken from the coal pit on the Morton farm and pronounce it equally as good as that found in France and Germany. The clay is suitable for making the finest kind of ware. They have already secured a block of lots and will expend from $15,000 to $20,000 in the erection of buildings, machinery, etc.

Industry Nebraska City. The Woolen Mills project is still wider consideration and tending to a favorable conclusion. The Pottery Factory is under contract and half finished. The Nebraska Iron Works have established themselves in the foundry business at Nebraska City. They have initiated a movement in the way of home manufacture, which should be patronized and fostered by every thinking citizen of the town, county, and state. They have expended years of life and labor and are skilled and experienced men and will make machinery of all kinds needed in Nebraska.

Industry. Foundry. Nebraska City. Holmes, Gould and Powell, Nebraska Iron Works, Nebraska City, have purchased the large brick building on Ferry Street, Holly Block, repaired and remodeled. Holmes and Company are honest, capable managers, whose work will compare with manufacture of the Eastern States. At present they make machinery of all kinds needed in Nebraska and the millers of Cass, Otoe, Johnston, Lancaster, Saline, Nemaha, and other counties in the State, when they break mill-gearing, can send to Nebraska City to be repaired upon short notice. The Nebraska Iron Works will have steam up in less than ten days, and will open business with a force of 15 to 20 hands, and increase when business demands.

Industry Nebraska City Flouring Mills. Messrs. Pirmey & Thorpe, owners. They are situated at the foot of Main Street, Nebraska City and were built some five years ago, by the well known citizen Hon. Oliver Stevenson, present chairman of the board of County Commissioners. They were sold by him last spring to Messrs. Pinney & Thorpe for 412,000, who commenced improvement on everything connected with the mills until today they have the most complete mill in the Western country. The building has been enlarged, machinery altered and improved; new stones added and improved machinery for cleaning the wheat and bolting the flour. They now manufacture daily 100 sacks of flour comparing with the best brands of St. Louis. what is usually classed by country millers, as first grade flour, is considered second grade by then.

Wilcox, and Pare England as an investigating committee who in their report charged Dr. Fuller with six counts among which were intoxication and extravagance.
