PREACHERS' AID SOCIETY. -- A Committee on Preachers' Aid Society was by motion of D. B. Lake appointed as follows: W. R. Halstead, P. C. Johnson, D. W. C. Huntington, John Gallagher, D. B. Lake, C. M. Shepherd, G. H. Moulton, G. W. Abbott, J. W. Swan, Frank Campbell, A. B. Whitmer, P. Van Fleet, and J. W. Stewart.
TRANSFER. -- Bishop announced the transfer of J. W. Seabrook, and William Van Buren, from the Black Hills to the Nebraska Conference, H. C. Harmon, and R. L. Wolfe, from the Nebraska to the Black Hills Conference.
CONSTITUTIONAL QUESTIONS. -- Propositions for constitutional change submitted by the East Main Conference were taken up. The Bishop requested all members outside to come within the bar. J. C. H. Hobbs, John Gallagher, G. W. Ishams, L. T. Guild, appointed tellers. The vote was taken and the tellers with F. A. Stuff, one of the secretaries, retired to make the count, which was as follows:

MEMOIRS. -- The report of the Committee on Memoirs was adopted. They reported Z. B. Turman and Alford Brigham's decease.
STEWARDS. -- P. C. Johnson read report from Conference Board of Stewards, which by motion of D. W. C. Huntington was recommitted.
IV. QUESTION. -- The Fourth question of the General Minute was taken up.
"Who have been admitted on trial?"
William H. Stanley recommended by the Tobias Quarterly Conference and Samuel T. Walker from the Liberty Quarterly Conference. They were introduced to the Conference, represented by the Board of Examiners and their presiding elders and admitted on trial.
XXX. QUESTION. -- The Thirtieth question of the General Minute was called:
"Where shall the next Conference be held?"
On motion of J. W. Stewart, the Presiding Elders were appointed a commission to provide for the entertainment of the Conference.
AUDITING COMMITTEE. -- Auditing Committee reported that they had examined the report of the secretary and found it correct. On motion of J. S. W. Dean the treasurer was instructed to pay the secretary the sum of $10 for Conference expenses.

Fort, G. A. Smith, N. H. Davis were called, their character passed. Those present addressed the Conference and their relation was continued, except N. H. Davis, on motion of W. B. Alexander, was made effective.

W. Dean read the following resolution concerning the book account
of L. F. Britt, and on motion of T. A. Hull it was adopted.
WHEREAS, It is reported
to this conference by the authorized agents that Rev. L. F. Britt,
a local preacher, a former member of this conference, owes our
book concern $128 and does not pay the same; therefore
Resolved, That our book agents be and
are hereby requested to press the payment of this debt by such
methods as the laws of the church and of the state require. That
the secretary of the Conference send a copy of this resolution to
our book agents and also a copy to L. F. Britt.

John Gallagher read the following resolution
concerning delinquent book accounts, and on his motion it, was
adopted:
Resolved, That the representatives of
the Book Concern furnish the names of all members of the
Conference who owe accounts and who are making no effort to pay
the same, and if they do not make satisfactory settlement, to
proceed against them according to the discipline, and if necessary
according to law.

TRIAL EXPENSES. -- J. S. W. Dean read the following report of Committee on Trial Expenses, and, on motion of R. T. Chipperfield, a subscription was taken to pay this bill.
Your committee, to whom was referred the expense of the trial in the case of A. M. Perry, report that the amount to be raised by this conference is $25.

INTRODUCTION. -- E. J. Wightman, Secretary of the State Sunday School Association, was introduced and addressed the Conference.
RESOLUTIONS. -- C. M.
Shepherd read the following resolution concerning the transfer of
J. W. Lewis to the Maine Conference, and it was adopted:
WHEREAS, Brother J. W.
Lewis, by his earnest devotion to the work of the church, has
endeared himself to us and to the people among whom he has labored
so faithfully and successfully; and
WHEREAS, He has been
transferred to the Maine Conference; therefore,
Resolved, That we shall follow him with
our prayers that Almighty God will give him great success in his
new field of labor and that we commend him to the brethren in his
new conference relation as a beloved and worthy minister of Jesus
Christ.
The following resolution concerning the
employment of local preachers who use tobacco was read by the
secretary and adopted by a rising vote.
Resolved, That in the case of any local
preacher who uses tobacco and who desires work as a supply, the
presiding elder shall endeavor to persuade him to quit its use,
and if he refuses the presiding elder is requested not to employ
him.
On motion of C. L. Smith, A. B. Whitmer was requested to secure an obituary notice of Mrs. A. Madole for publication in the minutes.
On motion of L. T. Guild, J. Gallagher and L. G. Parker were elected as delegates to National Anti-Saloon League Convention.
COMMITTEES. -- A. C. Crosthwaite read the report of the Missionary Committee, the list of standing committees, district missionary secretaries and the triers of appeals.

SERMONS. -- The following were appointed to preach the Missionary and the Conference sermons: Missionary Sermon, L. T. Guild; Alternate, James Mailley. Conference Sermon, R. Pearson; Alternate, F. M. Esterbrook.
RESOLUTIONS. -- The report of the Committee on Resolutions was read and adopted. (See Resolutions.)
THANKS. -- A vote of thanks was tendered the Baptist Church for the use of their building during the trial.
COLLECTION. -- A collection by motion of J. F. Kemper was taken to pay the janitor for his services during the session of the Conference.
