On June 15, 1931, St. Michael's parish at Tarnov commemorated its golden jubilee. None of the old pastors, but many of the nuns hailing from Tarnov were home for the occasion.

On June 28, 1931, Hey. Paschal Rollman, O, F. M., solemnly celebrated his first High Mass at Humphrey. The choir assisted by an orchestra sang Gruber's Jubilee Mass. Rev. Florence Kurzer, O, F. M., acted as assistant priest, Rev. Francis Solanus Eckholt, O, F. M., a cousin, as deacon, Rev. Peter Reg. Pfeifer, O, F. M., of Indianapolis, delivered the festive sermon.

The annual parish bazaar was held the same day.
