We also express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to the Rev. Thomas Cullen and his able and faithful assistants, who officiated at the Mass this morning.
Whereas, the Supreme Advocate, Joseph C. Pelletier, has been removed from the office of District Attorney for Suffolk County, Commonwealth of Massachusetts, by the Supreme Court of that state, and subsequently has been disbarred as a practicing attorney in the state of Massachusetts, which action automatically disqualifies him under the laws of the order for said office:
Therefore, Be It Resolved, That we urge upon the Supreme Board of Directors of the Knights of Columbus that it take immediate action to vindicate the good name of the order by demanding the immediate resignation of Joseph C. Pelletier as Supreme Advocate and that if he fails to comply with such demand, that the Board declare the office vacant under the laws of the order, and proceed to fill such vacancy.
Be It Further Resolved, That if the Supreme Board fails to act upon this matter, that the National Council, when it meets in national convention, be urged to take such steps as will effectively vindicate the good name and honor of the Order of the Knights of Columbus with reference to the conduct of Supreme Advocate Joseph C. Pelletier,
Be It Further Resolved, That a copy of these resolutions be forwarded to the Supreme Board of Directors.
Whereas, The Elks Lodge No. 1040 of the city of York has shown us the courtesy of using their splendid lodge hall for our state council meeting on May 23, 1922,
Therefore Be It Resolved, That we express our sincere thanks and appreciation for their generosity and fraternal spirit shown our order, and that a copy of this resolution be sent to the Elks lodge.
Whereas, The Financial Secretaries of the state of Nebraska have been organized for several years into an association known as the State Financial Secretaries' Association, and,
Whereas, The said Financial Secretaries' Association has been duly recognized by the Nebraska State Council, and,
Whereas, A great deal of benefit has been derived from the organization of Secretaries working in harmony with the State Council, and,
Whereas, the plan of organizing State Secretaries' associations has been called to the attention of the State Deputies and Territorial Deputies and has met with the approval of a majority of said State and Territorial Deputies, and,
Whereas. It is the opinion and sentiment of the Financial Secretaries' Association of Nebraska that great results can be accomplished by the organization of similar organizations of State Financial Secretaries in all of the states and territories.
Therefore, Be It Resolved, That the delegates to the national convention be instructed to present a resolution to the national convention recommending that the Committee on Laws and Rules of the National Council be so amended that they shall provide for the organization of an association of the Financial Secretaries' Association in each state and territory, and that the expenses of the delegates [to the Secretaires (sic)' Association conventions, which sholl (sic) be held in] - (sic)

to the Secretaries' Association conventions, be defrayed in a like manner as are the expenses of the delegates to the state conventions.
Motion by Brother Colfer, duly seconded and carried, that a fund of one hundred dollars ($100) be placed in the hands of a committee, to be appointed by the State Deputy, for the purpose of paying any expenses in organizing a retreat for men in the state of Nebraska.
The State Deputy then appointed the following brothers to act on the above committee: Chairman W. M. Whelan of Hastings; Dr. E. G. Zimmerer of Lincoln and Edward Lamb of Beaver City.
Voted, that the proceedings of this state meeting be published in The True Voice.
Voted, That a Mission Committee be appointed.
The State Deputy then appointed the following brothers as a Mission Committee: Dr. Leo Phalen of Grand Island, Francis P. Matthews of Omaha and Dr. E. G. Zimmerer of Lincoln.
Voted, that the Genoa, Santee and Winnebago Indian missions be included in the Western Mission Fund.

Report of State Chaplain
Worthy State Deputy and Brother Knights:
I would wish to bring before the state convention this year, the necessity of vigorous and sustained action to counteract the malign influences at work to undermine the love and the respect of our Catholic youth for their religion and its moral teaching. That such influences are at work is evident to anyone acquainted with the numerous insidious and anti-Catholic activities of the Y. M. C. A. and the feverish anxiety of the Masonic Order to instill in the minds of young Americans the principles and ideals of Masonry.
The K. of C.'s were founded as a Catholic organization to afford legitimate amusement and recreation to its members; to make them more practical Catholics and work to oppose anything and everything that threatened to weaken the moral influence and authoritative power of the Church founded by Christ.
You have been summoned by the Father of Christendom to check anti-Catholic propaganda in Italy, and to save the youth of Rome

from the effects of the deceitful and so-called social efforts of Methodists, Y. M. C., A. and "philanthropists" of kindred organizations.
You have answered the call of the Holy Father with joy and with promptitude. You have entered upon such noble work with all that zeal and fervor so becoming to the best traditions of your illustrious order. You are now engaged in saving the youth of Italy for the Church. Why not do the same for the youth of America? It is necessary, absolutely so, if our youths are to be kept good Catholics and good citizens. Could not this be effected along lines somewhat similar to those adopted by the Masons recently for their boy clubs? Why not form a junior K. of C. Club for boys between the ages of twelve and eighteen? These clubs could be under the auspices of your organization and be animated by the same Catholic and fraternal spirit. They would of course possess adequate means for the physical and mental development of its members, such as reading rooms, billiard rooms, swimming pool, gymnasium, etc. They would afford facilities for the increase of the knowledge of Christian doctrine, so that the boys could at all time be able "to give reasons for the faith that Is in them." In a word, these clubs should be so constituted as to be at all times a source of attraction, of amusement and pleasure, of never-ending joy and happiness. To found these clubs would be in keeping with the ideals of your order. Why not begin now?
L. A. DUNPHY
State Chaplain.
