  Dorp, a postoffice in the southwestern part of Logan county, eight miles west of Gandy.

   Gandy, the county seat of Logan county, in the Loup river valley, has been continually progressing since the time it was platted, in November, 1885. There is much excellent land in the vicinity, which is in a high state of cultivation, and the community generally in a prosperous condition. Population, 300. Churches are Methodist. Secret societies: I. O. O. F. and G. A. R.
