   (i) Stephen Decatur (Bross), born in Sussex Co., N. J., settled at Bellevue in 1852. - Same, I, p. 184.
   (j) Samuel Allis, born Conway, Mass., Sept. 28, 1805, came to Nebraska, 1834, as missionary to the Pawnee Indians. He married Emeline Palmer, Mansfield, Conn., 1834. - Same, II, pp. 484-6.
   (k) Thomas Morton, born in Wales, Mar. 17, 1829, was brought to Ohio, while an infant. He published the first Nebraska newspaper, the Nebraska Palladium, at Bellevue, and in April 1855, became proprietor of the Nebraska City News, which he owned until his death. - Same, II, pp. 337-340.
