Captain Lewis, Lewis county, Tennessee. Reproduced from The Trail
of Lewis and Clark, by courtesy of Olin D. Wheeler, editor. In the
center and upper left. hand corner are three views of the monument
of Captain Clark in Belle Fontaine cemetery, St. Louis. The two
lower cuts represent the bowlder at Fort Calhoun, Nebraska,
commemorating the first council with the Indians on Nebraska soil.
