STATE BAR ASSOCIATION ORGANIZED

An invitation to all Bar Associations and members of the Bar throughout the state has been extended to meet at the State capitol in Lincoln at the next session of the Supreme Court for the purpose of forming a State Bar Association. The invitation comes from the Lancaster County Bar Association.

ELECTS OFFICERS

Lowell L. Walker, vice-president during the past year, was elected president of the Platte County Bar Association at its annual meeting in the district court room at the court house this forenoon. Otto F. Walter is the retiring president.
Jesse L. Dougherty was chosen vice-president and Wilbur. Johnson was reelected secretary-treasurer.
A committee composed of Mr. Walker as chairman, Milton Wagner and County Judge Clarence Stone was appointed to make arrangements, and prepare suitable resolutions for a memorial service to be held by the association in memory of its former president, the late C. J. Garlow, in the near future.

Will B. Dale, Mayor of the City of Columbus aforesaid by order of the city Council of said City do hereby certify that the said city was duly organized and incorporated on the eleventh

day of February A. D. 1865. That the organization of the said city was effected by virtue of a special act of the Legislature of the Territory of Nebraska entitled "An Act to incorporate Columbus in Platte County in the Territory of Nebraska" said act was approved Feb. 11, 1865. And I do hereby certify that the organization of the said city under and by the virtue of the Act aforesaid has been continued from the date the organization as aforesaid until the present time. And that this certificate is filed for Record in the Recorders office of Platte County aforesaid for the purpose of Incorporation the city of Columbus in Platte County aforesaid in the state of Nebraska as a city of the second class under and by virtue of an act entitled "An act to provide for the Incorporation of cities of the second class and to define their Powers" Approved February 15th A. D. 1869. By Order of the City Council
