Inter-Fraternity
Indoor Meet
IGMA
NU were victorious by the narrow margin of three points
over Alpha Theta Chi in the inter-fraternity track meet
at the university gymnasium on Friday evening, April 9.
From the first the battle was between these two
fraternities, with Phi Delta Theta crowding both. The
score was: Sigma Nu, 26 points; Alpha Theta Chi, 23
points; Phi Delta Theta, 16 points.
Hummel of the Sigma Nu
was the individual star, winning first in the fence vault
and high jump, tying Israel of the Alpha Theta for first
in the high kick, and tying Israel again for third in the
pole vault. The team events, tug-of-war and relay, were
as usual most exciting, Sigma Nu winning the former and
Alpha Theta Chi the latter.
A large number of
fraternity folk were present to enjoy the meet and the
Pan-Hel mixer which followed.
