The Forestry Club
is for the advancement technically and socially of
students entering the profession of forestry. In the past
the fellowship among members of the club has been very
close and it is this spirit of fellowship and helpfulness
that has marked the Forestry Club as a most active and
enthusiastic organization.
Meetings are held in
Nebraska Hall every two weeks on Tuesday evenings. At
these meetings technical forestry problems are discussed
in a popular manner. Special lectures are also given
throughout the year by prominent lumbermen, foresters and
botanists.
The Forestry Club has
many social gatherings as well, the prominent one being
the annual foresters' pow-wow. At other times stag
parties are held in order that the members may become
better acquainted.
