Some of the games attracted many patriotic alumni, and much was done in their honor. And then came the final game of the season, when, so some said, the Cornhuskers acted in an unsportsmanlike manner, and even Jake was amazed that so many people would turn out to see a football game. And then came the celebrations of both the boys and the girls over the victories of their team.
