     Winners of the water fight trophy, the David City No. 2, receiving their trophy from Gary Navrkal, chairman. Team members are Dennis Souba, Larry Sloup and Mike Hoeft.

     Second place in the water fight went to the Abie men. Gary Navrkal presented the trophy to Carroll Krivanek, Jerry Roh and LaVerne Krivanek.

     The Rising City women's team won the water fight competion [sic]. The members are Candy Sanley, Sue Topil and Shari Crook.

    Second place in the women's division of the water fight went to David City, represented by Marie Hoeft, Gayle Eberly and Darlene Sloup.

Old Timers Ball Game

   The old timers played to a 7-7 tie in seven innings in one of the sports highlights of the Centennial celebration.
   The baseball careers of the players involved dated back to 1919 (Albert Janicek), with Leo Janicek a close second (1920).
