Point Pleasant Locals
Since our last writing there have been three deaths from typhoid fever in the community. Jennie Aplin, daughter of our esteemed fellow citizen, W. G. Aplin, died at 9 o'clock am September 19, and was buried at Hartford. She was about seventeen years old. Polly Secrest died at seven o'clock pm, September 19, in the 70th year of her age, and was buried at Lutheran Zion, in Noble County. Rachel C. Robins died at two o'clock pm, September 25th, at the residence of her father, Erzekiel A. Robins, near Bethel M. E. Church, in the 22nd year of her age, and was buried in the Bethel Cemetery. The bereaved all have the earnest sympathy of a Christian neighborhood.
