Beulah R. Lighty, 77, of Broad Street, died this morning at Guernsey Memorial Hospital. She was born July 6, 1916, at Marietta, a daughter of the late Amos Curtis. She retired after 25 years from the former Cambridge State Hospital and was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Lighty, in 1972. Also deceased are her stepmother, Mildred Zoller Curtis, a brother, James Curtis, and one grandaughter. Mrs. Lighty leaves two daughters, Betty White of Cambridge and Beverly Amos of Cheshire, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and two step-great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Thorn Funeral Home, where services will be Friday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Center Cemetery. Submitter's Note: Beulah's mother died July, 30, 1916.
