URIAH LEIGHTY Funeral services for Uriah Leighty, 82, at 89 Gomber Ave., will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday from McCracken-Thorn Furneral Home here. The Rev. Evelyn Cook will officiate and burial will follow in Center Cemetery. Mr. Leighty died at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Guernsey Memorial Hospital after suffering a heart attack, while he was preparing to leave the hospital. He had been a patient there a week but had been dismissed a short time before his death. Born Aug. 24, 1883, at Post Boy, Tuscarawas County, he was the son of George and Ellie McPherson Leighty. A retired house painter, he was a member of Cambridge West Side Pentecostal Church. Mr. Leighty leaves his wife, Florence Stillions Leighty; three sons, Harry, Lore City R.D. 2, Elmer and Fred, both of Cambridge; two daughters, Mrs. John Joseph (Margaret) and Mrs. Joseph Dilley, (Ruby) both of Cambridge; 19 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchidren. A daughter, three sons, two brothers and a sister are deceased. Calling hours at the funeral home are 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
