William Wagstaff whose death was briefly mentioned last week, was born in Allegheny county, Pa, November 19th, 1800, was married in 1826, removed to Cadiz, Ohio, in 1830, and from thence to Adams township, Guernsey county, in 1836, where he resided until 1871, when he removed to Cambridge, where he died September 13, 1876. Mr. Wagstaff was the father of twelve children, eleven sons and one daughter, eight of whom survive. He joined the U.P. Church under the ministration of Rev. W. Taggart in 1832, and was esteemed by a large number of acquaintances. He was buried on Friday at Lebanon Church, in Adams township.
