Robert L. WEARSCH

Robert L. Wearsch, 87, of 74136 8th Street Road, Guernsey, died Tuesday [Feb. 17, 1998] at the Riverside Manor Nursing Center in Newcomerstown.

Mr. Wearsch was born April 27, 1910, a son of the late Philip Christopher and Wilma Sue Lewis Wearsch in Adamsville, Ohio.

He married Irvillia (Jane) Kennedy Wearsch on October 21, 1931.

He was a member of the Guernsey Methodist Church and owned Guernsey Auto and Tractor Garage from 1946 until his retirement in 1975. He was an Army Veteran of W. W. II and a member of the American Legion, Newcomerstown; former Wheeling Township trustee for 12 years; former mail carrier and former bus driver. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Newcomerstown Veteran organizations.

In addition to his wife, he leaves one daughter, Mrs. Don (Marjorie) Hart of Newcomerstown; one son Phil (Julie) Wearsch of Coshocton; two grandsons, Chris (Susie [his wife]) Hart, Kevin (Sally [his wife]) Hart; one granddaughter, Terri Wearsch; two great-grandchildren, Adam and Brad Hart; one sister, Doris Burton of Rocky River, Ohio.

Services were held at Addy Funeral Home, Inc. with Gary Marlatt officiating. Burial followed in Guernsey Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
