In the name of the Benevolent Father of all:
I John Larue of Wills Township make and publish this my last will and testament; Item 1st I give and devise to my beloved wife in lieu of her dower the farm on which we now reside, situate in Wills township Guernsey county Ohio, containing about one hundred and sixty one and one half acres, during her Item 2nd I give and divise to my son Samuel Larue the above farm as described above at the death or marriage of his mother Rebecca Larue, in consideration by paying the following sums of money viz; To James Larue $250.00 Also in addition to the above to the following Heirs of Robert Larue deceased as the same may become of age To Ada Larue $50.00 Item 3rd I give and devise to my son Samuel Larue all my stock of all kinds, and all my farming utensils in my possession at this date Aug 19th, 1874 to use, sell, or dispose of as he may deem proper from the above date, in consideration the said Sauel Larue agrees to pay all taxes and improvents [sic] on said land described above. also the said Sauel Larue agrees to keep the family as it now stands in a good and substantial manner so long as they may remain together. Item 4th I do hereby nominate and appoint my son Samuel Larue to be my executor of the my last will and testament. I do hereby revoke all former wills by me made.
