It is between Dennis and Mary Corbin and Dennis' son Hansford Corbin (called
Haniford in the deed).
Know all men by these presents that Dennis Corbin and Mary his wife of the
county of Highland and State of Ohio for and in consideration of the sum of
seven hundred Dollars to them in hand paid by Haniford Corbin of the County
and State aforesaid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged has given
granted bargained and sold and by these presents do give grant bargain sell &
convey unto the said Haniford Corbin his heirs and assigns forever the
following described lot lot [sic] of land situate in the County of Highland on
the waters of Brush Creek To wit: Beginning at an ash and Red oak the North
Corner of James D. Noland's Survey No. 12463 and Running thence with one of
the line of said Survey S 45 degrees W 118 poles to a gum dogwood and hickory
the west corner to said Survey thence N 80 degrees W 10 poles to two redoaks
and dogwood the northwest corner to Wm. Langbourne's Survey No. 12571 thence
with one of the originial lines of said Survey N 9 degrees E 150 poles to a
gum and dogwood thence S 45 degrees E 98 poles to the place of Beginning
containing forty six acres more or less a part of William Langbourne's Survey
No. 12571 To have and to hold said premises and every part and parcel thereof
with all the privileges and appurtenances thereunto beloning or in anywise
appertaining unto him the said Haniford Corbin his heirs & assigns forever and
the said Dennis Corbin for himself and his heirs executors and administrators
hereby covenants and agrees to and with the said Haniford Corbin his heirs and
assigns that the premises hereby conveyed are clear and free from all
incumbrances whatsoever and that he will forever warrant and defend the same
unto the said Haniford Corbin his heirs and assigns against the lawful claims
of all persons whomsoever. In testimony whereof the said Dennis Corbin & his
wife Mary have hereunto set their hands and seals this first day of April in
the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty four.

Highland County Be it so remembered that on the first day of
April in the year 1854 personally came before me, the undersigned, a Justice
of the peace in and for said County Dennis Corbin and his wife Mary the within
named grantors and acknowledged the Signing and sealing of the within
Indenture to be their voluntary act and did for the purpose therein named and
the said Mary being by me examined Separate and apart from her said husband
and then acknowledges the signing and Sealing hereof to be her voluntary act
for the purpose therein named and that She hereby relinquishes her right of
dower to the within named premises given under my hand and Seal this day ____
last above written.
