Deed John and Mary JARNIGAN [JARNAGIN] to Isaac JARNIGAN [JARNAGIN]
This Indenture made this fifth day of November in the year of our Lord one
thousand Eight hundred and Eleven, between John Jarnigan and Mary his wife of
the County of Highland and state of Ohio of the one part and Isaac Jarnigan of
the County and State aforesaid of the other part, witnesseth that the said John
Jarnigan and Mary his wife, for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred
and forty dollars to them in hand paid, the receipt whereof they do hereby
acknowledge and forever acquit and discharge the said Isaac Jarnigan, his heirs,
Executors and administrators, hath granted, bargained, sold, aliened, and
confirmed, and by these presents do grant bargain sell alien and confirm with
the said Isaac Jarnigan his heirs and assigns forever all that tract or parcel
of land, lying & being in the county aforesaid and on the waters of the Rocky
fork of Paint Creek, Beginning at a white oak in the line of Archibald Smiths
Survey and South west comes to John Jarnigans survey thence with said Jarnigans
line N 89 E 239 poles crossing a small branch at 158 poles and one at 180 poles,
to a gum, Dogwood and Sasafras, said John Jarnigans South East Corner thence S 1
1/2 E 84 poles to a Lynn, & dogwood South East Corner to said Smiths Survey:
thence with Smiths line N 1 1/2 West 84 poles to the beginning, containing one
hundred and twenty five acres, be the same more or less, being part of a survey
entered and surveyed in the name of John Graham, of Eight hundred acres N of
Entry 2907. Together with all improvements, watercourses, profits and
appurtenances, whatsoever to the said premises belonging or in any wise
appertaining and the revisions, remainders profits and all the Estate right
title and interest property claim and demand of them the said John Jarnigan and
Mary his wife of in and of the same to have and to hold the lands hereby
conveyed, with all & singular the premises and any part and parcel thereof, with
every of the appurtenances unto the said Isaac Jarnigan his heirs and assigns
forever to the only proper use and behoof of heirs the said Isaac Jarnigan his
heirs and assigns forever and the said John Jarnigan and Mary his wife, for
themselves their heirs, Executors and administrators to covenant promise and
agree to and with the said Isaac Jarnigan, his heirs and assigns by these
presents, That the premises before mentioned now are and forever hereafter shall
remain free of and from all former and other gifts grants bargains sales, dowers, rights
and title of dower, ____________, Executions, titles, troubles charges and incumbrances
whatsoever done or suffered to be done by these the said John Jarnigan & Mary his
wife and the said John Jarnigan & Mary his wife and their heirs all and singular the
premises hereby bargained and sold with the appurtenances, unto the said Isaac Jarnigan
his heirs and assigns against the said John Jarnigan and Mary his wife, and their heirs
and all and every other person or persons whatsoever doth and will warrant and forever
defend by these presents. In testimony whereof the said John Jarnigan and Mary his
wife have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written.

Personally appeared before me the subscribers a Justice
assigned to keep the peace in & for the County aforesaid the written named
grantors John Jarnigan and acknowledged the written signing and sealing to be
his act and deed for the purposes therein
Also personally appeared before me, the written named Mary his wife and
being duly examined separately and apart from her said Husband, did fully and
voluntarily of her own consent, relinquish her dower and right of dower without
the persuasion or threat of her said husband to the premises therein Expressed,
given under my hand and seal this 20th day of December 1811
