Will # 1248
Peter Winkle
Probate Office
Highland Co. Oh.
In the name of God, Amen
I Peter Winkle, being in a bad state of health, but in my right
mind, knowing from my age
and bad state of health, that I must soon go the way of all the earth.
And first of all, I
commend my spirit to God that gave it, and my body to the earth, to be
buried in a common
decent manner by my relatives. I do hereby make and aim this to be my
last will and testament.
First of all, I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Christena, all
my real and personal estate
during her natural life and also allow her to sell at public venue or
private sale, any of my personal property that she may not stand in need
of and loan out the proceeds at interest. Such of my real estate as
she does not wish to farm, she may rent out to other persons. I also
appoint my wife as above mentioned to be my whole and sole Executrix,
and after her decease, I give and bequeath in equal portions, all that
may remain of my estate, both in lands, personal property, and money to
my children; Nancy, Margaret Suber, Mary Overstake, Henry, Elizabeth
McQuitty, George, Jacob, John, Christina and Peter.
